The Nagle Family Residence, slated for construction in Spring of 2012, is designed to be reminiscent of a summer cottage in the mountains. While designed for full-time, year-round living, its careful and modest massing hides its 2,850 square feet well, giving the home the ‘cottage-like’ appearance the owners desired. Computer illustration by SANDBOX (above) showing the future Rear Elevation of the home, with its glass window/door walls opening the Master Cottage and main social spaces to the rear terrace, which sits on the meadow and Lahontan golf course. Even the guest master suites on the upper level have their own private view decks (two not shown).
Clad in wood siding and stone, with rusty corrugated steel roof accents, the home will be rustic in appearance on the exterior, yet luxurious and comfortable inside, with four master suites and an oversized two-car garage. Computer rendering (above) by SANDBOX showing the future Front Elevation.
A home of this size should take approximately 10 months to construct. With a May 2012 construction start, completion is targeted for mid-Winter 2013. Computer rendering (above) by SANDBOX showing the future Side Elevation and Master Cottage wing.
