The SANDBOX-designed 3,250 square foot Martis Camp cabin was completed in Summer of 2013. Situated on a fantastic lot on the Putting Park and pond, this traditional mountain-style home features an open floor plan for the main living areas, as well as 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a den and an oversized 2-car garage. SANDBOX designed the home with a focus on family/social gatherings, indoor-outdoor living and capturing views. The rear of the home completely opens-up to the pond & Putting Park, with windows & doors from every room, spilling out onto the extensive terrace, complete with a firepit and sunken spa. The Dining and Kitchen areas share the benefits of the double-sided large stone Great Room fireplace, creating wonderful ambience on a cold winter day or for a family dinner. View of the Kitchen/Dining areas and fireplace (above). Photo by Vance Fox.
The vaulted Great Room (above) spills out through some folding glass doors onto the fireside terrace, adjacent to the pond and Putting Park. The large stone fireplace, heavy timber beams and wood ceiling lend the feeling of a big mountain lodge not typically found in a cabin. The shovel on the mantle is from the owners’ groundbreaking ceremony! Photo by Vance Fox.
Great cozy, creative spaces can be found throughout the home, such as the bright, sunlit Game Nook (above left) with its tall window wall, to the comfy window seat reading niche (above right) – ideal spots for a family board game or to sneak away and read a book! Photos by Vance Fox.
