Completed in Summer of 2014 by Lamperti Construction, the 3,200 s.f. Demmon Retreat sits on a meandering creek and small pond in the mountain community of Martis Camp. Clad in silver-gray reclaimed barnwood, the home has a distinctive presence from the street. Twilight photo by Vance Fox showing the front elevation (above).
The home is designed to take full advantage of its creekside setting, with large, retracting glass door walls that completely disappear into the wall, as well as the “Creek View Fireside Terrace” (shown above in Vance Fox photo), complete with a gas firepit – the perfect place to relax with a cocktail after a round of golf!
With a fantastic open floor plan, the grand stone fireplace of the Great Room, shown in the above photo by Vance Fox, can be seen from the Kitchen, Dining, Breakfast/Game Nook and Entry. From these spaces, one can look beyond the terrace and out to the mountains and creek!
The house is built to entertain, with a large island, dining table, wine cabinet and commercial appliances for cooking for a large dinner party. Photo (above) by Vance Fox, showing the Kitchen and Dining areas.
A fun combination Bunk Room and Kids’ Lounge exists on the upper level, featuring custom built-in wood bunk beds with integrated storage and room to hang out, watch TV and play games. Photo (above) by Vance Fox.
