This SANDBOX-designed 'mountain contemporary' home broke ground in Summer of 2016 and took 2 years to complete. Dramatic shed-driven forms, with large areas of glass, are complimented by stone spine walls 'supporting' and organizing the forms. Photo by Vance Fox showing the front of the home.
The stunning architecture is made all the more dramatic by the large glass window/door walls, creating a strong indoor-outdoor connection. Elaborate covered and uncovered terrace areas offer a firepit, hot tub, covered dining with a fireplace, outdoor kitchen and more. At close to 6k square feet in size, the home is designed as the ultimate extended family gathering place, with expansive living areas, multiple bunk rooms for the grandkids, a custom illuminated bar, wine cellar and more!

The clients spent considerable time in Montana and wanted to bring some Montana influence into their Tahoe home. A custom, hand-carved totem was transported 800 miles down from MT and integrated into the outdoor landscape space. Photo by Vance Fox.
