SANDBOX designed the quintessential mountain cabin for a family of 6 on a great site in Martis Camp. Backing to a private stretch of forest, and with great sun exposure and views of the ski runs, the home will feature abundant glass and outdoor living areas, complete with a covered fireside lounging terrace, uncovered spa terrace, Summer BBQ/dining terrace, and the requisite firepit, looking up at the snow covered slopes. Outside, rustic reclaimed barnwood, heavy timber truss work and native stone create a palette that’s rich in character. Inside, painted finishes will mix with reclaimed wood and steel to create a visually inspired result! Rendering by SANDBOX (above) showing the front elevation of the future home. Construction commenced in May 2016.
